FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We do not accept insurance for the virtual programs. However, we do accept insurance at any one of our in-office programs located across North Carolina in Asheville, Hendersonville, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro.

Because our program is customized for each patient, the length of the Blue Sky MD Virtual program is different for each individual. We recommend patients continue the virtual program until they have reached their goal weight—and beyond, if additional support is desired.

The Blue Sky MD Virtual program includes weekly meetings with a Wellness Coach, full access to our mobile app, medication (if deemed appropriate) and a free biometric scale. The app provides a direct line of communication between patients and wellness coaches for daily support between virtual visits. The app also includes food journaling, recipes, activity tracking, and more.

Yes. The cost of the biometric scale, shipping for the scale, and shipping for medications is included in the cost of the program.

 

You may cancel your subscription and enrollment in the program at any time. However, we do not offer refunds for medication.

Your membership will continue through the end of your current charge cycle. For example: If your credit card is charged on the 10th of the month and you cancel on May 25th, you will not lose access until the June 10th.

You will not need lab work to get approved for the medication prescription option—you will just need to meet with a provider virtually. However, we do offer lab testing if you decide that you’d rather opt for our in-person programs located across North Carolina in AshevilleHendersonvilleCharlotteWinston-Salem, and Greensboro.

You will only qualify for a prescription once you’ve completed our initial online health assessment and been approved by a medical provider at your first virtual appointment.

The most common side effects linked to the use of prescription GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs are gastrointestinal irritation, such as nausea, but can also include headaches and irritation at the site of injection. Our doctor-formulated compound contain peptides that improve gut health and reduce the nausea associated with GLP-1 medication.
